Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of computer science concepts and techniques, mathematics, and statistical analysis to develop automated solutions to resolve various problems related to PMS.
- Use knowledge of Navy PMS SGML/XML content models and information technology platforms to develop next generation architectural and functional specifications, interfaces, and data structures.
- Direct tasking of software developers, specialists, and technicians.
The candidate should be familiar with:
- Performing software development services for PMS programs in support of the NAVSEA 3-M Configuration Control Board (CCB) and providing software designs to meet the requirements established by the U.S. Fleet Forces 3-M Requirements Management Board (RMB).
- Performing software engineering and life-cycle maintenance support services for modernized planned maintenance scheduling, viewing, authoring, distribution, and monitoring applications.
- Interfacing with other DOD agencies to provide technology support services for and integration with planned maintenance management information systems.
- Coordinating with other Navy agencies and third-party software developers to define and implement required interface specifications.
- Providing software engineering support for integration of new information technologies into PMS programs to meet current Information Assurance (IA) and cyber security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of experience in Software Development.
- Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in a field of Computer Science or computer related field
- US Citizen with Secret Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in managing Navy PMS software development client server and web development.
- Experience programming with Visual Studio, Visual C++, .NET, SQL Server, SQLite, Oracle, non-relational databases, ASP.NET, JavaScript libraries and tools, and other web development tools to deliver web applications.
