Summary

TWB in Canton, MI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a proven ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems in an industrial setting. We are looking for experience with automation machine repair with an emphasis on robotics. This position is responsible for preventative and overall facility machine maintenance and must possess, or be able to quickly obtain, basic knowledge of machine repair. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met by continuous development and education. (**please note, we are not looking for general building maintenance or lawn maintenance candidates).

Responsibilities

• Ability to work rotation or set schedule as needed
• Complete a thorough development plan and job shadowing on an established schedule
• Ability to complete online and campus courses as needed
• Complete Maintenance Assessment Testing
• Complete mechanical repairs and make adjustments as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned
• Successfully troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction
• Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Perform other duties as required

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing
• Basic mechanical, welding, and cutting skills
• Capability of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
• Electrical knowledge
• Meter usage and ability to take basic measurements
• Complete knowledge of standard operating procedures
• Complete company provided CPR and first aid training
