Rosewood Rehabilitation is a care center, northeast of downtown Reno. Our convenient neighborhood setting, serves Reno, Sparks, Sun Valley, and the surrounding areas. We are only a short driving distance to Renown Regional Medical Center, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, and Northern Nevada Medical Center. We feature 99 beds and beautiful spacious rooms in both private and semi-private settings.

The working schedule would be flexible with Friday through Sunday responsibilities and weekend on call requirements.

Weekend Nurse Supervisor Position Summary:

To assist in the management and direction of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Director of Nursing and Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. As the Weekend Nurse Supervisor, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2 years of experience as an RN or LPN in a long-term care facility, or other related health care facility preferred.
• Must have supervisory experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Must possess an active license to practice as a RN/LPN valid in this state.

Other Specific Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
