Ja'Mal Green is running for mayor of Chicago in the 2023 mayoral election! That means until February 28th (election day) the Go Green campaign will be in need of talented, dedicated, and visionary people. We are an exclusive people-powered and people-funded campaign with a common sense platform for the betterment of all Chicagoans.

We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing volunteer policies and programs, as well as identifying areas of improvement to increase campaign efficiency.

Responsiblities:

• Coordinates orientation, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing support for campaign volunteers, ensuring consistent commitment and quality of experience.
• Coordinates with campaign staff to schedule and confirm volunteers for adequate coverage.
• Serves as a liaison to address volunteer and staff concerns regarding volunteer performance.
• Engages in targeted volunteer recruitment and builds key relationships to ensure continued growth.
• Coordinates and expands volunteer recognition programming throughout the election cycle.
• Identifies, markets, and in some cases, plans ongoing volunteer training and enrichment programming
• Coordinates mass communications to volunteers and engaging the online volunteer community

Key Qualifications

• Commitment to the Go Green Chicago mission.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and ability to work with diverse groups
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with displayed attention to detail
• Ability to adapt and stay flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc)
• Experience coordinating volunteers and/or training adult learners is a plus.
