Sustainable Food Solutions Director

About the Unit
The Sustainable Food Solutions Director will lead Yara North America’s position to secure a place in the food value chain, with a focus on enablement of Yara solutions integration. This position will involve cross departmental collaboration and lead representation in North America for new markets such as green fertilizer, organic & circular economy.
This position can be based out of our Tampa, Florida office (hybrid working model) or home-based.
Responsibilities
- Lead the food chain strategy for North America aligned with the regional strategy
- Map opportunities and participate in aligned efforts in collaboration with the Americas region and global food chain organizations.
- Support Yara teams to ensure our performance in the food chain has market differentiation and relevance from grower through to value & food chain
- Represent Yara in strategic food forums to position Yara as the preferable solutions partner
- Work closely with Commercial, Incubation, Market Development & Agronomy Director to mature Yara North America’s food solutions profile
- Translate opportunities within organic & circular economy that is regionally relevant for North America
- Support the readiness of the organization regarding impacts to N-fertilization levels
Profile
- 10+ years working experience in commercial positions in similar industries, preferably with vertically integrated ag companies
- Experience working in fertilizer sector preferred
- Degree in ecology, agronomy science or related fields (MBA and masters are a plus)
- Deep knowledge of environmental business opportunities
- Experience in new segments of agriculture such as organic, circular economy and/or green input solutions
- Experience in working in international teams and culturally diverse environments
- Excellent communication skills in English
Additional Information
External candidates must be an American Citizen or lawful permanent resident.
Must hold a valid driver's license, as traveling is required.
