Elementary Teacher – 4th Grade

Mission
Global Academy is a free, chartered public elementary and middle school that seeks to serve a diverse group of students. Responsibilities
● Articulate the mission and vision of Global Academy to students, parents, and the greater community
● Create a classroom environment in which every child can succeed and which establishes high academic and behavior standards
● Demonstrate high proficiency and expertise in content areas
● Create effective lesson plans and instructional materials
● Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
● Teach all approved curricula
● Implement and support the School Wide Positive Behavior System established by the school
● Assess the progress of each student
● Use standardized test data to make instructional decisions
● Prepare and maintain appropriate records and progress reports
● Communicate with parents during the school day and outside the normal classroom hours as required
● Identify student needs and make appropriate referrals for student services
● Help to promote and maintain a professional environment
● Direct paraprofessionals and volunteers as necessary
● Demonstrate the attributes of a lifelong learner
● Participate successfully in the faculty professional development and evaluation system
● Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the administration

Required Qualifications
● Must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to teach elementary students (Grades

K-6) by the State of Minnesota or eligible to be licensed
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Familiarity with educational technology
● Ability to work with diverse student populations
● Commitment to educational equity

Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working with ESL population
● Knowledge of or experience with the International Baccalaureate Program

Global Academy offers competitive salaries and benefits for its teaching faculty.

● Salary range for 2023-2024 based experience and education: $46,730 to $85,295

● Fully paid benefits for individual employees include: health, dental, vision, LTD,
STD, life, employer provided HSA contribution, TRA. Other voluntary options are also available.

Pay: $46,730.00 - $79,285.00 per year
