Child & Family Services is looking for a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team in New Bedford, MA. The Talent Acquisition Specialist recruits qualified, diverse candidates for all the agency’s programs. He/She/They are responsible for creating a best-in-class candidate experience that evokes employment interest in CFS, builds credibility, and represents the agency in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent and requires a minimum of 0-2 years staff recruitment experience in a multi-site environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the agency. Strong administrative and organizational skills, a pleasant manner, aptitude for detailed work and the ability to handle pressure/interruptions required. Must possess the ability to work independently with excellent follow-through skills. Strong PC experience with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel required.
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the agency’s needs.
- Work closely with hiring managers to build knowledge of agency programs and job requirements in order to identify suitable candidates
- Post internally and externally for vacant positions
- Keep agency employment website current
- Conduct employment screenings with qualified applicants for open positions
- Complete write-up of candidates’ screenings and forward to hiring managers for review
- Follow up with managers to assist in scheduling and interviewing prospective candidates
- Assess candidate and make recommendation for hire to supervisors/managers
- Provide a positive and professional experience for candidates at every touch point
- Send “thank you for your interest” emails to all candidates who interview but are not selected for positions
- Attend job fairs and other events to promote agency in the various communities we serve
- Place job openings with local colleges and universities to recruit candidates
- Extend job offers and provide contingent and official offer letters as needed
