Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Portfolio Lifecycle Operations Specialist to author, coordinate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in Agile (PLM system). This person will work with Project/Program Managers and cross functional teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Logistics, Business Systems etc. to add or remove parts from the Approved Products List (APL) which resides in Agile. Parts are added or removed from the APL via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) while working in close partnership with Doc Control. Additionally, this person will be required to head weekly meetings to check the status of all the pre-requisites needed and to maintain a tracker for ongoing and future ECOs. This person should be energetic, results oriented and an excellent communicator/collaborator. Knowledge and leveraging data from excel or tableau dashboards will be required in this role. Additionally, the following skills will be needed to be successful in this role: proactive problem solving, excellent communication, ability to influence and build relationships, detail-orientation, and discovery. This is the position for you if you love to effectively communicate and partner with multiple people to help collect important inputs for parts management in Agile via the ECO process. Lastly, this person would be required to help with process improvement projects related to APL.

Job Requirements:

  • Work with Project Managers and cross functional teams to complete the pre-requisites needed for APL readiness.
  • Write and manage ECOs through the approval process in Agile PLM system
  • Monitor and report project status and escalate in case of critical gaps
  • Proactively organize efforts to alleviate data entry bottlenecks and speed execution
  • Coordinate large cross functional team meetings and follow up on deliverables and action items
  • Support team meetings including taking minutes and tracking action items
  • Initiate, develop and implement departmental, process related improvements relating to the APL
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities to optimize the efficiency of parts/versions additions and removals
  • Rollout and train impacted teams on APL related processes and tools
  • Develop and execute data research for metrics and reporting


Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3+ years of directly related experience desired, medical devices experience preferred
  • Expertise with Agile PLM system is required
  • Should be highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Smartsheets, BOX
  • Familiar with data research, excel and dashboards

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed below:

Base Salary Range Region 1:$84,500 - $121,500
Base Salary Range Region 2: $71,800 - $103,400
