Position Summary
Management of the day-to-day Manufacturing Engineering operations, including facilities maintenance. Development and implementation of required plant projects that impact safety, quality, cost and delivery while using Parker's Lean initiatives

- Reports to the Plant Manager.
- Manager will have supervision over Machine Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance technicians and Manufacturing Engineering Trainee's that are in the plant.
- Interacts routinely with all functional areas of the business including customers, regulatory agencies, division/group/corporate management, and suppliers.
- Lead, coach and develops team members to ensure personal growth and ability to support Parkers business goals.
Essential Functions
- Enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining CNC programs for the machining department. This is both in traditional G-code along with conversational programming. Use of CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling required.
- Design fixturing and spec/design tooling to support machining operations.
- Meets with the Value Stream Leaders regularly, reflecting on problems, solutions, and challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement and contributing towards becoming a learning organization.
- Creates the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented and the area is compliant with safety requirements.
- Recommend product changes/improvements to improve plant performance.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements.
- Determine root cause of failure using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, SPC) that may result in changes in design, tolerances or processing methods.
- Support Production Control and production management requirements to achieve maximum customer service.
- Research and prepare capital acquisitions (AFE) for plant requirements
- Management of functions to maintain facility, this includes building and grounds.
- Communicates customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in an Engineering, Technology or related discipline.
- 2+ yrs of leadership experience
- 5+yrs of multi axis CNC Programming experience
- 5+yrs of manufacturing experience
- Experience with CNC/Manual Mills and Lathes
- CAD/CAM experience
- AutoCAD/Inventor or equivalent is required
- Must possess working knowledge of GD&T
- Proven leadership experience, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills
- High degree of analytical and critical thinking
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skill
