Job Summary:
The Operations Inventory Coordinator represents the Operations and supply chain groups within the organization and assists the team with multiple areas of daily Operations functions while maintaining an overall goal of improving processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring accurate and timely deliveries to our clients. The Coordinator will be the Operations point of contact for data collection, costing exercises, record creation, and other administrative functions vital to the operational efficiency of the team and the organization at-large. They will also drive to closure Operations and supply chain tasks in support of program requirements and customer deliveries.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of Customer Supplied Inventory (CSI) at the Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
  • Daily transacting of inventory movements within the designated software environment.
  • Physical pulling, transacting, and shipping of inventory to and from CMs and other recipients as needed.
  • Management of government-owned property stored and inventoried by Teledyne FLIR.
  • Assist with data collection in response to inquiries from internal and external program and engineering teams.
  • Assist with creation of production orders to support complex product builds.
  • Assist with creation, review, and analyses of product builds of materials (BOMs).
  • Assist the Purchasers with data entry functions related to issuance of purchase orders.
  • Participate in manufacturing readiness reviews to help ensure all Operations functions are ready for next New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle.
  • Assist with costing/pricing data collection to support other business teams as needed.
  • Assist Operations and Quality teams with disposition of Material Review Board (MRB) issues.
  • Participate in process improvement exercises.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Operations team.
Job Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in an operations/manufacturing environment and hands-on manufacturing experience on manufacturing floor strongly preferred.
  • HS degree/GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Able to understand and interpret inventory management data, cost structure, and cost reduction strategies for products.
  • Able to understand engineering documentation and product development processes and can discuss with suppliers.
  • Familiarity with Windchill a plus and SAP is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Defense and Security industry preferred.
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturers is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to establish trust and confidence with customers, employees, peers and executives while driving for results.
  • Team player attitude with high energy level, able to get things done by working with and through others.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 10% domestically.
