General Purpose
The Laborer support the success of the business operations by safely producing wood products including grinding, packaging, stacking and movement of goods in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs functions relating to standard operating of pellet mill equipment including start-up, shutdown, and regular operations
- Inspects, cleans, and assists with general maintenance of mills
- Assist with pellet mill operations
- Assist with bagging and packaging of different products
- Responsible for keeping work area clean
- Start bagger with correct bags
- Startup and operation of palletizer, robot, and wrapper
- Resets counters on bagger and wrapper
- Makes sure scale is set to correct weight for bag size
- Reports any machine problems as soon as possible
- Checks seals on bags at bagger and wrapper
- Conducts quality control tests for products
- Reports to the shift foreman
- Uses forklifts and material handling equipment
- Fills in as warehouse and shipping operator as needed
- Assists with maintenance operations during periods of maintenance downtime
- Ensures all products are shipped or stored properly and counted accurately
- Adheres to company safety policies and OSHA standards
Pay Range:
$15.96 - $22.50
