The purpose of this position is to perform routine tasks such as product packaging, prep work, dishwashing, trash removal, sanitation procedures, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements:Department Maintenance
- Keep the department’s retail areas fully stocked by preparing and refilling containers to established par levels
- Be sure signage is accurate and follow food safety and allergen standards; notify management if change is needed
- Stock and organize the storage shelves and coolers per department expectations following FIFO and use-by/sell-by dates
- Ensure proper storage and labeling procedures as per health department and organic standards
- Restock the hot bar with dishes and supplies
- Assist the cooks with prep duties such as peeling, chopping, slicing, mixing, cooking, as directed
- Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the department and ensure food prep, work area, utensils, equipment and display areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting or exceeding health department standards
- Follow USDA and NH State Law regarding the use, labeling, and handling of allergens
Qualifications

- Regularly lift 50lbs safely
- Ability to be mobile throughout entire shifts
- Bend, squat, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers
- Effective communication skills in English
- Operate equipment such as commercial dishwasher, oven, stovetop, slicers, blenders, robot coup
- Will be required to use various cooking tools and knives
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Familiarity and knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry
