Purpose of Position:
Support the operation to deliver Superior Guest Service by providing administrative support coordinating Human Resources activities to ensure compliance with company programs and applicable laws. Coordinate and maintain recruiting and staffing plans, onboarding, orientation, and DFW Airport badge program.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Provide administrative support to the business operations. and coordinates human resources activities to ensure compliance with company programs and applicable laws. Works with operations management to meet needs of business plan.

2. Ensure correct handling of employee performance and discipline issues. Administer investigation to ensure compliance and resolve complaints and maintains confidentiality.

3. Administers and coordinate recruiting activities and interviewing process. Places ads; maintains internal application process. 4.Reviews applicants for and makes recommendations to managers.
5. Administer new employee onboarding process including confirmation of required background checks, orientation session, prepare and setup of employee files, completion of required forms, etc.
6. Plans and conducts New Hire Orientation. Works with operations management to confirm assignment of new employees.
7. Maintains and files all employment records, ensures compliance with I-9 documents.
8. Coordinates the badging process in compliance with airport requirements for new hires, renewals, terminations and escorting.
9. Enters new hire data, employment changes, payroll deductions, terminations and other related information into HR System.
10. Assists with workman’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, employee relations investigations and inquiries.
11. Communicates with payroll function; provides necessary information; and resolves problems.
12. Coordinates and maintains employee transportation programs, assists and/or prepares employee communication materials.
13. Tracks and maintains employee training records and requirements for location and assist with completion of monthly and quarterly reports.
14. Coordinates and maintains reward, recognition, safety and related programs.
15. Performs customer service functions by answering general employee requests and questions.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Decision-Making Authority:
Position exercises some judgment daily in administrating and coordinating administrative support and HR programs and in providing information to managers and employees. For decisions of a technical or policy nature position consults with of Operations Manager or Human Resources or designated senior level manager.

Education:
Associates degree in human resources, business, or a related area, or equivalent experience in HR.

Previous Experience:
Minimum of two years of professional experience in human resources with responsibility in general HR administration and employee relations. Knowledge of basic human resources, hiring, and employee relations functions. Understanding of attendance and safety programs. Ability to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information. Knowledge of HRIS functionality such as ADP, UltiPro. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Demonstrated knowledge and application of Microsoft Office and HR system utilization.
Knowledge of general hiring practices, and employee relations.

Ability to effectively communicate information individually and in group situations to customers, co-workers and staff. Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Data entry skills with accuracy. Exceptional project direction skills. Excellent organizational and record keeping skills. Attention to detail. Strong service orientation.
