FF/Paramedic and FF/EMT

Fontana Fire Department is establishing a Fire Fighter/EMT and Paramedic eligibility list for full and part time employment opportunities. Fontana Fire Department covers the Villages of Fontana and Williams Bay providing emergency services for approximately 4,000 full-time residents with a large seasonal increase. Fontana Fire Department responds to approximately 700 emergency calls per year in addition to providing public education, fire inspections, and public assistance. Full-time daily staffing of four 24-hour FF/EMT or FF/Paramedics supplemented with part time and paid on call staff.

2023 Starting full-time annual salary - $49,832.00 to $59,259.00 based on certification level at time of hire.

· Schedules - 24 hours on, 48 hours off with one 24-hour shift off per 27-day cycle (13-14 Kelly Days per year).

Fontana Fire Department was established in 1930 and is complimented by a 75' Quint, Two Engines, a brush truck, one EMS response vehicle, two ALS ambulances and two boats for water rescue on Geneva Lake. Mutual aid provided to neighboring departments under the MABAS agreements.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Wisconsin Firefighter I Certification
• Wisconsin EMT OR Wisconsin Paramedic
• Valid Driver's License
• Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen & background check
• At least 18 years of age

Preferred Certifications:

· Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (CEVO, EVOC) – Required after hire

• Wisconsin Paramedic License
• Driver/Operator-Pumper Certification
• Driver/Operator-Aerial Certification
• Wisconsin Firefighter II Certification
• Wisconsin Fire Inspector Certification
• Wisconsin Fire Officer I Certification
