SUMMARY OF POSITION: Oversees all maintenance of interior and exterior physical space, making sure that health and safety standards are met and arranging for repairs when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ensures safety standards are followed throughout the facility
- Reacts to building emergencies/urgent maintenance calls
- Managing equipment and supply needs, including furniture, telecommunications, kitchen appliances, office equipment and supplies, and climate control
- Supervises cleaning crews and maintenance workers
- Documents processes and keeps maintenance records
- Maintains inventory of supplies, including PPE and packing supplies- reordering as needed
- Coordinate PM’s, repairs, additions with outside contractors and property manager for facility as needed
- Repair, perform PM on pressure washers, assemble/ fabricate benches / carts and repair various other items on the shop floor to keep the production floor functional
- Change light bulbs throughout the facility, basic plumbing repairs, basic wiring, mount TV’s, route air lines, relocate furniture as needed etc.
- Arrange for scrap metal pick up and waste oil disposal
- Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw/interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to use a variety of hand tools such as circular/table/jig/reciprocating saw, drill, hammer drill, drill press, milling machine, miter saw, router, grinder, sander pneumatic tools, voltage meter, etc.
