Director of Admissions Job at Alderson Broaddus University
Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions oversees the day-to-day operation and provides leadership to ensure quality service to prospective and new students, families, and the community; Directs and trains the staff to work in the most effective and efficient manner; oversees all Admissions and Recruitment functions/events.
Essential Duties (to include, but not limited to):
· Provides daily direction and training to the Admissions Team
· Oversees the daily Admissions functions; oversees all recruitment activities (on & off campus)
· Develops and implements admission recruitment strategies and recruitment plan
· Develops admissions data report
· Develops yearly goals and objectives for the Admissions Team and evaluates staff annually
· Directs/supports the staff to develop and build relationships within the College community, hospitals, community agencies and high schools
· Works with Marketing and Communications to develop admissions and recruitment publications
· Oversees the communication plan for prospective and new students
· Communicates with staff on policy changes, procedural changes and updates related to the Admissions and Recruitment function; develops and maintains written policies and processes
· Maintains Admissions related materials on the College web site, catalog and any other information sources
· Develops and implements all Admissions training
· Works collaboratively with all Administrators, Faculty, staff and College community
· Assist the Vice President with developing & implementing processes and procedures to continually improve our services to students
· Assist the Vice President defining admission enrollment goals
· Other duties/projects as assigned or directed by the Vice President; Serve on committees and advisory councils as needed
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years in higher education administration relative to Admissions, a proven track record of achieving and exceeding enrollment targets, experience in staff management, highly developed oral and written communication and presentation skills, knowledge of marketing methods, and the ability to effectively use date driven models for evaluation and planning and financial effectiveness. Has an ability to work well with a variety of constituents; a proven track record of trustworthiness, collaboration, commitment to service, financial understanding, analytical ability, team building, and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
