Hiring Salary: $3,374-$4,498 per month plus the state benefits package, which includes a paid family health insurance plan and 10 paid holidays. This position is a Monday-Friday day position.

This position is located in Bismarck, ND with telework flexibility.

Summary of Work


Workforce Safety & Insurance is seeking a Loss Control Program Specialist to be responsible for administering programs and providing administrative support for the Loss Control Department with tasks and activities that are part of the daily operation of the department.

The Loss Control Program Specialist creates value and makes an impact with these job duties:

  • Assist in grant program development.
  • Administration of Firefighter/Law Enforcement reimbursement program.
  • Administration of OSHA 10/30 Online Training Program - coordinate and manage program activity for employers and their employees in the program.
  • Administration of Safety Training and Education Program (STEP Grant) - coordinate and manage the financial and program activities of grantees receiving funds through the Safety Training and Education Program.
  • Provide administrative support for but not limited to website, social media content, quality assurance, safety program certificates, inventory check, monthly target accounts, and departmental updates.
  • Provide backup for department team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • To prosper in this position, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related area of study is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to learn new web-based applications and programs.

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, and external partners.
  • Ability to collect and organize data.
  • Confident, articulate, and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
