The Student and Community Counseling Center has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Clinical Counselor position.

Position Emphasis:
The Clinical Counselor is a therapist in the CU-Denver Student and Community Counseling Center. This position provides culturally responsive mental health services and outreach to CU Denver students. The Clinical Counselor provides direct individual, couple and family counseling, as well as outreach and prevention for CU Denver students. This position facilitates group counseling, conducts client intake evaluations, assesses and triages walk-in clients at the Center, and keeps accurate, timely records that comply with all state laws and ethical guidelines. The Clinical Counselor provides prevention programming and mental health wellness services with a focus on multicultural populations, and provides consultation and training for other campus groups, faculty and staff about the mental health needs of CU Denver students. This position participates in weekly staff, clinical, and other meetings as may be required: marketing, outreach, and campus awareness activities as requested. This position may also provide supervision to interns and/or practicum trainees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in a counseling related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure as a mental health professional in Colorado (psychologist, LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
- One (1) year of professional level experience working directly with a college student population in a clinical capacity.
