Behavioral Health Patient Services Representative - School-Based - McDowell

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is opening a new location in Marion, NC. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We provide in-person behavioral health services in school settings and integrated behavioral health services in our office setting.

We are searching for a friendly and welcoming personality to represent WNCCHS as the primary greeter and contact person for students, their parents, and school staff.

Come join our growing team as a Full-Time Behavioral Health Patient Services Representative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent the Company by creating a welcoming environment and treating patients in a compassionate manner
  • Register patients with appointment scheduling and check-in, registration, eligibility verification and assist with check-out; assist patients with registration form who may not be able to read/write
  • Serves as a liaison between WNCCHS patient accounts, patient census, medical records, case and care managers, and referrals departments
  • Effectively present information by telephone and in person
  • Accurately enter information into EHR database and update as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
  • One year in a customer-facing role in any service-related industry
  • Basic knowledge of insurance plans gained through experience or education
  • Computer literate and clear writing skills are essential. Ability to articulate information clearly.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, such as Teams, SharePoint, Word and Excel
  • Behavioral health and medical terminology experience is preferred
  • One year in a behavioral health or medical office setting is preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $17.67 per hour
