First Children Services is looking for innovative and energetic professionals to join our team. FCS is a dedicated team committed to providing the very best services day in and day out. We integrate a variety of effective techniques along with family involvement to achieve optimum results. At First Children Services, children and their families are met with compassion, dedication, and determination.
We are currently hiring Behavioral Technicians, who are willing to become Registered Behavioral Technicians, in order to use their training and skills to make a difference in a child’s life. Our staff work in a variety of settings, including school districts, homes, preschools and our Strive autism centers.
We are currently hiring Behavioral Technicians with hours varying between 10 to 40 hours weekly. FCS has a singular rate for client hours, training and drive time. All of your hours worked are equally valued and equally paid.
Not yet an RBT, not to worry. First Children Services provides a paid 40-hour online course to prepare you to obtain your RBT Certification. We focus on your professional growth and improvement. This is apparent in the ongoing supervision under a Board Certified Behavior Analysist (BCBA) and annual trainings which are provided. We have a culture of feedback aimed at improvement where we strongly encourage our staff to continue learning and growing. We love it when a BT who became an RBT, decides to further their knowledge and skills and makes the decision to become a BCBA. First Children Services encourages growth from within!
What does an RBT do? Great question!
- They apply the principals of one-to-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism, developmental delays or other behavioral needs reach their full potential.
- They collect data, implement individualized treatment plans and behavioral plans while engaging and building a relationship with their client.
- They collaborate with a team of like-minded individuals who are invested in being a part of “Life Changing Outcomes for Exceptional Kids” to ensure program consistency.
What do you need?
- A high school diploma at minimum, bachelor's in education, psychology, social work, special education, guidance and counseling or another related field preferred.
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback on performance.
- The ability to problem solve, think on your feet, and ask questions.
- To demonstrate a passion for working with children with developmental and social challenges
- To be comfortable working in a team environment, or able to function independently, depending on the location of the services.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, willingness to travel (30-40 minutes preferred)

You will be eligible for benefits when you work consistently 30+ hours weekly. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and employer paid short term disability and life insurance. Full-time employees also get paid holidays.
Flexible scheduling, working at a minimum of 10 hours weekly, or building a caseload that provides eligibility for benefits.
When you work 24+ hours consistently you are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off.
