Associate Director, Specialty Pharmacy Programs Job at CenterWell
Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Specialty Pharmacy Programs integrates clinical and educational services customized to individual patient needs and treatment goals, including therapies for chronic and complex illnesses. They will oversee three supervisors of pharmacists, nurses, social work and calling associates which support the patient management programs at CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy. They will review clinical data outcomes and data from quarterly business reviews to optimize contract calls and patient engagements. The Associate Director, Specialty Pharmacy Programs works to optimize clinical work and is involved in the implementation and workflow management of new programs. They will be involved in quality audits and coaching as well as communicating KPIs to the leadership team. This position requires cross departmental collaboration and will maintains frequent contact with other managers across the operations department. The Associate Director will work with the Clinical Pharmacy Leads to implement and optimize PMP process including prioritization and routing.
Essential Functions
- Manages long term goals of the department
- Monitoring and achieving clinical team metrics
- Identifies gaps within current process and provide solutions to optimize efficiencies
- Works to coordinate daily operations
- Thorough knowledge of the pharmacy specialty operations and business with theexpectation to lead and develop pharmacy personnel.
- Provides feedback to the AVP, Clinical on performance issues and participants inperf ormance improvement planning
- Works with clinical pharmacy leads on the clinical oversight of drug add or program implementations including pharma and payer programs
- QII/IRR oversight
- Call quality audits
- Create a patient centric, team oriented, positive work environment culture focused on meeting and exceeding customer service, productivity goals, and in essence, clinical
- Work directly with workforce management to improve workflow, prioritization, and staffing model
- Strategize on implementation of new clinical program
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex information to multiple business teams
- Complies with all regulatory requirements and adhere to policy and procedures
- Assist with other duties
- Advanced knowledge with the ability to analyze and solve for any challenges within the clinical operations
- Collaborates with AVP, Clinical and senior management and leads across the clinical team
- Highlight clinical outcomes to gain new business
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Pharmacy or an Elevated Nursing Degree (RN)
- 6 or more years of clinical experience
- 3 or more years of management or operational experience
- Significant experience and knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy medications and processes
- Deep consumer empathy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience delivering patient education programs.
- Extensive large-scale program management experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously
- improving consumer experiences
