Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write
- Must display the ability to cooperate with other co-workers
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions
- Must be able to lift reasonable weight amounts
Responsibilities
- Definitions: A professional person who is trained to give care to residents and assist with other daily duties
- Promote and maintain a positive attitude
- Accept all assignments as assigned by the supervisor
- Respond to resident call lights in a prompt and efficient manner
- Give personal care to residents, assist with mobility, eating, bathing, grooming, elimination and any other personal needs
- Assist at mealtime as needed
- Give additional care in the form of simple treatments and assist with comfort and safety measures
- Provide some care to resident’s environment keeping rooms, bedside tables, cabinets and closets orderly
- Perform light housekeeping as needed
- Care for residents clothing, dentures, glasses and appliances to insure they are being adequately marked for identification and safety
- Assist with easy and smooth transitions for new residents
- Encourage and motivate the residents to participate in recreation and activities to help maintain their maximum level of functioning
- Observe and report pertinent information about the resident(s) to the nurse(s)
- Update records as instructed
- Accurately dispense medications
- Use and care for Company owned equipment as appropriate
- Provide emotional support to residents as needed
- Attend to any other appropriate duties, which may be assigned by nurse in charge
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
