Airport Concierge Job at Steamboat Express
Seeking Experienced Customer Service Oriented Employees!
The Hayden Airport Concierge at the Yampa Valley Regional Airport is in first position to be the friendly face of Steamboat Express who welcomes and assists our customers in a polite and professional manner. This is a role that focuses on ensuring professional, superior, friendly and efficient customer service is provided at all times.
Join the Steamboat Express Team where the environment is friendly, fun-loving, hard-working, customer service oriented and appreciative of each other. The base position is in Hayden, CO, but may require travel to the Steamboat Springs offices when needed.
Starting pay is $16.50 depending but we'll consider higher applicants with customer service experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for meeting inbound passengers and assisting outbound. passengers in the event they have additional needs upon arrival to the airport.
- Ability to express calm and maintain confident interactions with customers and airport personnel and thrive on the chaos.
- Energetic and upbeat during challenging situations.
- Ability to maintain calm in the face of chaotic airport operations and sometimes excitable customers.
- Acts as an overall customer service agent for all passengers providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Responsible for directing the Steamboat Express drivers to parking space.
- Communicates with dispatch to assist passengers if needed.
- Relays all dispatch information to drivers (walkups, no-shows, delayed luggage and changes).
- Personable, professional, and customer service oriented.
- Ability to multitask.
- Makes a sincere effort to become familiar with the area and the city, enabling you to know approximate distances between locations to answer customer’s questions about activities and the area in general.
- Hours include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be dependable and be able to get to work on time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to learn computer-based reservation dispatch programs, and telephone skills techniques. Demonstrate good communication and people skills, and be able to manage stress during rush periods. Must be able to work long hours during the rush periods. Must be a team player and have a willingness to provide excellent customer service to our passengers.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Must have one year plus of customer service related work experience.
- High School diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the customer base, management and outside agencies.
- Take direction and instruction well from supervisors and managers.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must dress appropriately for weather conditions.
- Maintain clean work uniform.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
