Job Description
The Agricultural Research Worker, under supervision, supports research or teaching laboratories, farms, or ranches by performing specialized tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Drive tractor to assist in the preparation, irrigation, and harvest of field plots and greenhouse plants.
- Planting using field research equipment, procedures, and apparatuses in conducting field experiments.
- Performs repairs to greenhouses, buildings, and farm/ranch equipment.
- Assists with plowing, harvesting, disking.
- Operates farm equipment such as tractors, plows, cultivators, etc.
- Other job related as required.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of agricultural field research or laboratory work.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
