Wound Nurse (LPN OR RN) - Riverview Care Center
Optalis Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a Wound Nurse for our Riverview Care Center in North Central Columbus.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Wound Care Nurse to join our team. As part of our team, you assess wounds incurred through accidents and surgical procedures to determine both immediate treatment needs and long-term treatment plans. The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for assessing residents on a daily basis, including measuring, treating, and documenting the wound’s progression. Wound Care includes but is not limited to wound vac changes and maintenance, pressure ulcers, and new admission skin assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness
- Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines, including measurements and timely documentation
- Weekly Wound Care Rounds with Wound Certified CNP
- Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery processes
- Fulfill other nursing duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN)
- CPR and basic life support (BLS) certifications
- Wound Care Certification
- Prior experience in Palliative Care preferred
Come join our team at Riverview!. Our facility has 145 beds with multiple new admissions every week. This position is 8am-530pm Mon-Fri (but the hours are flexible!). Riverview is proud of our stable nursing leadership, including unit managers, evening and weekend nursing supervisors every day, and a full-time scheduling manager. The Wound Care Nurse position is a full-time hourly position. Hourly pay depends on experience and licensure. Our staff have access to excellent company benefits, including medical, dental, and 401k. This position is available both to LPNs and RNs, and Wound Certification within 6 months of hire is provided. Previous wound experience is preferred but not required.
