Bay Machine and Fabrication, a division of Bay Ship and Yacht Co., located on the waters of the Oakland/Alameda Estuary is seeking a highly motivated Waterjet Operator / Fabricator to join our rapidly growing team. Bay Machine and Fabrication is a full-service manufacturing company specializing in large-scale metal fabrication, precision machining, and industrial hydraulics. With over 60,000 square feet of dedicated space, we are uniquely qualified to support the heavy industries of the San Francisco Bay Area.

As a Waterjet Operator / Fabricator you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to produce high quality parts. Supporting a broad client base with unique needs for custom fabrication, no two days are ever alike!

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate Water jet machines to cut high quality parts and tooling from a variety of materials.
• Set-up and operate Press Brake, Shear, and Iron Worker to fabricate parts.
• Read & Interpret process sheets, blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform accurate inspections and verification of product using basic measuring tools.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience working in a metal fabrication shop or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating Water jet Machines.
• Ability to use shop fabrication equipment (Sheer, Press Brake, Iron Worker, Drill Press, Pedestal Grinder).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, reliable, responsible, and be able to work independently.
• Having personal hand tools is a plus.
• Previous experience operating Flow Water jets is a plus.
