Dean Baldwin Painting, a rapidly growing aircraft painting company, is currently seeking a Materials Manager for its Macon, GA facility. The right person will enjoy a fast-paced environment, is a proactive problem solver, and strives to be an integral part of the team and the success of the company.

We are looking for an experienced Materials Manager to manage inventory and purchasing procedures of aircraft painting materials and other supplies used in our company. Warehouse managers have experience in supply chain and inventory control. They are characterized by excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess. The goal is to ensure our operations have always an adequate flow of the material they need.

Responsibilities

• Strong working knowledge of Inventory Control practices, including discrepancy resolution, root cause determination and correction.
• The ability to make decisions, problem solve and prioritize assignments in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.
• Monitors production schedules, inventory reports to determine the type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock and order priority.
• Responsible for negotiating & searching best pricing.
• Responsible for entering purchase orders, coordinating delivery and follow-up such purchase orders with appropriate vendors.
• Responsible for tracking & stocking cages of preset inventory per aircraft.
• Verify, stock & enter incoming shipments.
• Confers with production personnel to determine status of assigned projects to determine if overage will be needed on floor.
• Utilize, create and maintain tracking, status and information tools, (either system generated or spreadsheets) for purchased items & inventory to track budgets & identify trends.
• Coordinate and maintain inventory records via monthly inventory.
• Place orders for materials with suppliers in order to obtain both on-time shipment and inventory goals.
• Monitor and track status of orders and communicate with suppliers to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain.
• All Data Entry - enter purchase orders, receipt of goods, update pricing, enter returns, budgets & trends.
• Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs.
• Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures.
• Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization.
• Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies.
• Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates.
• Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers.
• Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
• Assist in forecasting to plan future orders.

Skills

• 5 or more years in a Materials Manager role
• Experience in shipping and receiving
• Sage 100 ERP Experience
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
• Excellent understanding of forecasting and budgeting
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• A problem-solver

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
