Job Title: Warehouse Janitor (Cannabis)

Location: S Lapeer Rd / Dutton Rd, Lake Orion MI

Shift:

  • 1st shift (Monday – Friday 6a-2:30pm)
  • 2nd shift (Monday – Friday 3:00p-11:30p)
  • Production needs determine if Saturdays would be needed - either voluntary or mandatory)

Pay:

  • 1st shift: $16/hr
  • 2nd shift: $16.50/hr
  • Raises based on attendance, performance, and attitude.

We are responsible for processing and distributing cannabis in the form of pre-rolls, vapes, blunts, etc. As a cannabis warehouse janitor, you will be responsible for keeping our production rooms and warehouse clean of all debris, dust, discarded PPE, restocking, etc. Successful employees in this capacity are positive, helpful, upbeat, and team-players.

Job Summary:
We are a cannabis manufacturer looking for a self-motivated, reliable, hard-working, detail-oriented janitors to clean our facility. This position will provide the janitor with the opportunity to apply their skills, learn new skills and work as a team in a clean and safe atmosphere.

Essential Janitor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
  • Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
  • Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
  • Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Sanitize all surfaces.

Follows the eight-step janitor cleaning procedure:

  • Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
  • Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the janitor tasks.
  • Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs janitor tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
  • Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
  • Performs other janitor duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Must submit to background check
  • PER STATE LAW, you must be at least 21 years old
  • Previous experience in Cannabis or Botanical processing environment not required
  • Attention to detail, good people skills, ability to multitask.
  • Wear all required PPE and practice safe work practices.
  • Possess a willingness to learn new skills and strong desire for longevity.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, twist, and sit or stand for 8 hours per day, 5-6 days/week
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Flexibility - this role will be ever-changing as we expand and develop our team
  • Comfortable with monotonous working assignments and willing to cross-training in different departments.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must have good Math knowledge, including the use of decimal conversions (metric knowledge is highly desired).
  • Minimum of a High School diploma; preferred Associate's degree and previous experience in a quality control environment, preferably in a cGMP/FDA/ISO setting (preferred, but is not required).

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
