About the role

The Vice President of People Operations will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for developing and executing people-related strategies to support magniX's business plan, specifically in talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, succession planning, training & development, and compensation. This is a hands-on role, and as a member of the leadership team, the VP of People Operations should be comfortable functioning as an individual contributor or partner with other business leaders on a broad range of matters and contribute to the development of the Company’s strategic goals and objectives.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, and communicate an HR plan that aligns with and supports the company's mission and strategy
  • Coach and counsel managers in developing themselves and their teams to achieve improved performance and engagement, and be a strategic business advisor regarding key organizational and management issues
  • Incorporate feedback from engagement surveys, exit interviews, and other data points in creating effective people-related programs and ensuring data-driven decision-making
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for employees and managers
  • Develop people-related policies while harnessing new ways to reinforce and improve the existing culture
  • Advise the management team on relevant compliance and employment law, including immigration processes and any other employment-related topics
  • Lead the organizational effort in developing Roles & Responsibilities, KPIs, and OKRs and continuously improve ongoing programs and processes
  • Develop and implement comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits plans
  • Counsel, coach, and guide managers in addressing concerns and complaints to assure a fair and equitable work environment
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the People team by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field is preferred
  • 7+ years of HR experience, with at least three years of management experience
  • Broad and deep experience in HR practices supporting executives or senior leadership
  • General business and financial acumen with the ability to develop and utilize HR data and metrics as they relate to and impact business topics
  • Demonstrated capability in adapting and innovating HR practices and solutions and right-sizing them to the needs of a fast-paced start-up.
  • Drive solutions-focused initiatives with limited resources and roll up your sleeves attitude to achieve desired results.
  • Personal integrity, fairness, and empathy are necessary to gain the trust and commitment of individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success at cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and creating partnerships at all levels within the organization
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are a plus

This position's approximate base salary range is $170,000–$210,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
