Summary
As the Vice President of Palmetto GBA, you will provide overall executive leadership and responsibility for the effective and efficient control of all functional operations of the division, including but not limited to all claims processing and customer service-related functions. The ideal candidate in this role will formulate a strategy for the contract and/or business unit and oversees its execution, ensures that all contractual and/or corporate standards and requirements are met, and all corporate guidelines are followed, holds them responsible for financial planning, budget control, and profit and revenue forecasting, accountable for the oversight and development of all staff and leads all staff according to a solid moral and ethical code of conduct that is aligned with the compliance policy. We are looking for a strong candidate that will establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external clients.

This is a full-time position working on-site at the 17 Technology Circle Columbia SC.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensures effective and efficient contract performance, to include contractual performance standards, budget goals, cost containment and profit and revenue goals.
- Maintains effective and productive working relationships with internal and external contracts and/or business units.
- Directs, motivates and develops staff.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years health related or managed care industry work experience.
- 5 years management experience OR equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above (may be concurrent with the ten plus years).
- Strong management skills with previous experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, human relations and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of the various current forms of health care delivery systems.
- Ability to use information systems and processes to solve operations and strategic problems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical calculations and general principles of managing standards of performance.
- Ability to analyze data and apply business statistics to make decisions on staffing, budgets and other business matters.
- Knowledge of claims processing and support systems.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Understanding and experience responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP) to support current business and/or the development of new business.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Experience in budget planning, preparation and monitoring.
- Able to use the most cost-effective management means without reducing the quality of performance.
- Strong, ethical decision-making skills to promote a culture that ensures employees conduct business in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in accordance with our Corporate Values.
