Job Summary
The Vice President, Health Plan Partnerships will join ConcertoCare at an exciting time of rapid growth for the company, with a large and expanding market, increasing national footprint and proven model for meaningfully improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare spend through in-home care for adults with complex health and social care needs. This role will report to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and work hand-in-hand with cross-functional and market-level leadership to drive ConcertoCare’s growth objectives.
The Vice President, Health Plan Partnerships will be a seasoned healthcare growth leader, responsible for driving strategic health plan partnerships across all existing and new markets for ConcertoCare’s wrap-around care and in-home primary care service lines. S/he will actively drive and executive efforts to source, develop, and close new value-based payor partnerships and provider contracts, collaborating closely with operational, clinical, finance, and legal leaders to structure competitive partnership arrangements. This role will be responsible for building a robust and diversified pipeline of health plan prospects, and successfully advancing them through the deal cycle to drive new payor partnership growth at scale.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drive new risk-based health plan partnerships
- Grow and manage a high-yielding pipeline of health plan partner prospects for ConcertoCare’s wrap-around care service line (CarePartners)
- Directly source, develop, negotiate, and close new value-based provider contracts with payors for our CarePartners business line
- Source and execute risk-based provider contracts with MA and special needs plans for ConcertoCare’s in-home primary care service offering (GPC)
- In coordination with cross-functional team members and growth leadership, drive new risk-based health plan contracting processes from beginning-to-end, including development of initial letter of intent, formalization of key contract terms, negotiations and closure
- Serve as an integral leader and thought partner within the broader growth organization, bringing a data-driven perspective to new growth opportunities in the health plan and broader B2B space
Manage & support B2B sales operations
- Source, develop, and / or manage health plan partner growth assets, including contact lists, playbooks, pitch decks, training programs, etc.
- Collaborate with other ConcertoCare Growth and cross-functional team members to implement and manage ConcertoCare’s scalable B2B growth technology stack, including its CRM, data assets, performance tracking and reporting tools / processes, etc.
- Regularly track, analyze, and report out to the business progress and performance of health plan partnership efforts relative to broader ConcertoCare growth targets
- Continuously monitor market feedback and refine contracting approach across markets / opportunities to optimize growth efforts and health plan partnership deal cycle
- Provide regular feedback and analysis regarding the evolving competitive landscape, market insights, and strategic opportunities
- Over time, grow and manage a team of mission-driven health plan business development specialists in line with the organization’s growth needs (incl. development of Sales Incentive Plans, hiring, onboarding, training & mentoring, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Health, or related discipline preferred
- 8-10 plus years of experience in value-based health plan contracting, value-based provider contracting, business development and sales
- Established network of U.S. health plan contacts, including across Medicare Advantage plans and Special Needs Plans
- Deep familiarity with the U.S. value-based healthcare services sales motion, including a comprehensive understanding the payor / provider landscape, fluency with value-based care models, and a strong network among relevant healthcare players
- Impeccable track record of execution across the entire health plan deal (partnership) lifecycle – from lead generation and prospecting through to contracting, negotiations, and deal closure
- Demonstrated tactful and consultative leadership style and approach to partnership development, with the poise, agility, and emotional and relationship quotients needed to effectively navigate complex strategic partner relationships over a prolonged deal cycle
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to “do the work” – capable of independently valuing, structuring, and negotiating large, complex value-based care partnerships, while building and leading a national team over time
- Experience building and managing a distributed sales / partnerships team focused on health plan partnerships
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Base Salary/ Wage Range $200,000 to $250,000 plus annual bonus and equity. Compensation for the role is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
