Animal Hospital of Dauphin County is growing and looking to bring on a Veterinary Technician or Assistant.
Daily Responsibilities:
Room Position:
- Room Wellness and Problem appointments obtaining vitals and history
- Educate client on preventative care including, preventative blood work, 4DX/ FIV/FELV testing, dental care, weight management and yearly f/t and hwt prevention
- Discuss medication prescribed including side effects, etc.
- Chart for Exam Doctor
- Pull Blood, place IVC, Give SQ,IM,IV injections
- Perform Radiographs
Tech Appointment Position:
- Pull Blood, place IVC, Give SQ,IM,IV injections
- Perform Radiographs
- Perform treatments as directed by the doctor
- Surgical and Vaccine Callbacks
Schedule:
Schedule would range from 8, 10 and 12hr shifts. Flexible schedule with rotating weekend coverage required at our larger hospital.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of Veterinary experience required, new grads encouraged to apply. Certification or ability to become certified preferred but not required.
Pay based on experience and technical skills.
