- Support a zero-injury culture by pro-actively driving environmental, safety, and health best practices and regulations. Lead cadenced safety GEMBA walks and safety meetings to drive safety improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with front-line team members and front-line leaders by leading employee engagement efforts within direct reporting structure.
- Owns the execution of the business plan to execute the daily Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives, by leveraging Daily Management practices and Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Create the operational plans for daily, weekly, and quarterly production: Including labor, equipment, tooling, and supply requirements.
- Responsible for meeting all operational throughput requirements and productivity targets.
- Lead support functions (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, etc.) to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.
- Develop, implement, and sustain standard practices and processes.
- Responsible for the operational P&L of the assigned value stream.
- Active leader in the SIOP process for labor, material, and capacity planning, based on business forecasts.
- Build the best operations team through hiring top tier talent, training and development, and performance management of the team.
- Promote and lead a culture of Trust, Bias for Action, and Entrepreneurial Spirit.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Material Science, Chemical), or a related discipline. MBA/advanced degree is a plus.
- 6 or more years of operations experience in a high-volume, complex manufacturing environment.
- 2 or more years of direct frontline leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a successful transformation of culture and performance in a manufacturing facility.
- Applied understanding and success leveraging Lean Manufacturing Principles, e.g. value stream mapping, GEMBA Walks, Andon Systems, Poka-yoke, Kanban/visual management, Takt Time, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Standardization, Level Load Manufacturing, PDCA, 5S.
