TITLE: General Utility Tech
REPORTS TO: Director of Food Service/Asst. Food Service Manager
METHOD OF PAY: Hourly
Magnolia Manor adheres to the CMS Mandate requiring COVID-19 Vaccination among healthcare workers. New Associates must provide proof of vaccination before their hire date.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. As a Utility Technician, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties such as:
KEY STRENGTHS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
· Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
· Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and
perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper
performance. Sweep and mop kitchen floor, storage areas, cooler and freezer, and keep dining room floor clean daily. Keep all equipment, working areas, walls, floors and fans clean and orderly.
· Prepare dishwater for operation to ensure proper cleaning, empties and cleans it when finished.
· Review and Report any needed supplies, faulty working equipment, accidents, problems, etc.
· Help out where needed during serving time.
· Empty paper and garbage cans.
· Wash pots and pans and may help unpack supplies.
· Return cleaned utensils to proper storage areas.
· Remove food trays and utensils from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.
· Performs all other duties as assigned by Dietary Manager or Assistant Dietary Manager.
· Follow safety regulations and infection control policies at all times.
· Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
1. Must have High School Diploma or its equivalent.
2. On-the-job training provided
