POSITION SUMMARY
University Credit Union is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for a University Partner Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. You will be responsible for implementing and executing UCU’s marketing efforts at our university partner campuses. Marketing efforts will include, but are not limited to, promoting products and services, with the intent to increase member acquisition, brand awareness, and education of the university community on the advatages of credit union membership. This role needs an individual who has a clear strategic perspective, is detail oriented, and is able to deliver on day-to-day marketing needs.

Pay Banding Information:
Actual pay will be based on experience and qualifications, but is expected to be in the range of $54K - $82k.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RELATED DUTIES
- Responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns for our university partners.
- Assists management with the development of long and short run strategic marketing plans for our university partners.
- Works collaboratively with Engagement department to fulfill marketing assets and financial literacy courses.
- Adheres to University Credit Union’s brand standards for ad and campaign creation.
- Responsible for providing accurate and timely results for all marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Works with the Engagement team to coordinate completion of projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Works closely with Engagement to coordinate and oversee special on-campus events. Events include sporting events activations, advisory center grand openings, financial literacy programs, alumni focused events, and student appreciation events.
- Works with and maintains relationships with outside vendors.
- Ensures little to no errors in marketing materials.
- Maintains an awareness and knowledge of new and current trends in the marketing and credit union industries.
- Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to): BSA reporting requirements, OFAC, USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Regulation CC, Regulation D, Regulation E, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Privacy, etc.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Actively supports UCU core values, mission, and vision statements, and demonstrates commitment to member service and UCU organizational success.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required.
- Resolves questions, requests, and problems courteously and within given timeline.
- Assists with special projects as needed and performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism and at least three years’ experience in marketing is required, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in credit unions preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Copywriting ability and strong proofreading and editing skills are essential. Experience with desktop publishing software is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and meet deadlines while producing high quality work.
- Experience with graphic design software is preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to think critically and strategically with marketing campaigns and data.
- Experience in marketing data analytics is required.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.

Physical Requirements
If based remotely, may be required to travel to the UCU HQ in Los Angeles as required by the needs of the business, so must be able to travel and move within buildings to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including a computer, telephone, copier, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for extended periods daily. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, dependable, and timely attendance that aligns with the pacific time zone.
Working Conditions
If working onsite, must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. If working remotely from a home office, must be able to work in a separate, quiet area, for extended periods on a computer.

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and conduct various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively manage multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
