The Treasury Analyst I for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Banking & Cash Management department at the company’s Houston, TX office reporting to the Treasury Supervisor.
This position involves corporate cash management functions and various finance related projects. The optimal candidate will have a degree in finance or accounting, good interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment and a willingness to grow with the position.
This role will be primarily responsible for performing the following cash management activities:
Download and review bank reports
Monitor and set company’s daily cash position
Initiate wire transfers and ACH payments
Purchase and sell spot foreign currency
Borrow and invest short term cash
Initiate transfers for loans between Apache entities
Track and report bank credit ratings
Research and respond to payment inquiries
Additional Responsibilities:
Validate bank information for manual wires & ACH payments
Process invoices for payment using internal systems (vendor payments, bank fees, interest payments, etc)
Monitor treasury’s shared inbox and provide prompt responses
Assist in providing supporting information and documentation to internal and external audit teams
Run reports and perform other functions in SAP
Backup other Treasury responsibilities
Perform special projects which could involve interaction with Tax, Supply Chain, and Accounting departments Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and the Internet
A basic understanding of accounting principles
Detail oriented
Strong interpersonal skills
Team player
PowerPoint and Access Database experience a plus
Preferred Education
BBA in Finance or Accounting preferred Competencies
