Trauma-Informed Behavior Therapist Job at Lighthouse Neurofeedback and Behavior Analysis, INC

Lighthouse Neurofeedback and Behavior Analysis, INC Longmont, CO

Seeking motivated behavior therapists with a desire to help children with traumatic backgrounds!

Lighthouse is a unique clinic that offers a range of therapeutic services to comprehensively help children with complex problems. In order to effectively help children with traumatic backgrounds, services need to address all their critical needs at the same time. When all the pieces are in place, these children get better. Lighthouse provides neuro/biofeedback to teach self-regulation and correct the effects of trauma on brain development. We provide family therapy to help parents sort through their issues in order to become a cohesive team. We provide art and play therapy to help the child work through issues and develop a healthy capacity to relate to others and themselves. Behavior therapy allows for direct intervention in school, at home, and in the community. We have found that this combination is effective, and we are expanding our team!

Trauma-informed Behavior Therapists:

  • Socio-emotion regulation skills to help the child make better use of the adults in their world to regulate behavior and strengthen relationships.
  • Implement behavior modification procedures to help the child to succeed and avoid negative interactions with adults and peers.
  • Model positive and effective interactions for parents, teachers, and other adults.
  • Assist in monitoring children’s progress as they work through trauma and its effects on development.
