The teller is usually the first person our customers see when they come to the bank. Tellers perform transactions which include counting/packing currency and coin, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, reconciling cash drawer, etc., while maintaining accuracy, and having a friendly demeanor with customers and coworkers.

Essential Functions

1. Perform all teller duties including processing transactions received from customers, other areas of the bank and performing all facets of Branch Capture.
2. Upload files to host and Federal Reserve.
3. Handling cash with a high level of accuracy.
4. Escalates issues immediately and takes necessary steps to prevent and/or minimize loss to the bank.
5. Takes accountability and ownership for quality of work.
6. Balances speed and accuracy when processing transactions.
7. Listen effectively to customers’ requests and promptly take the necessary action to assist them.
8. Recognizes opportunities to assist customers to meet their financial goals by making effective cross-sales and referrals.
9. Protects the Bank and its customers by maintaining a high level of security awareness.
10. Follows all department policies and procedures to meet Bank, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
11. Will follow all standard operating procedures.
12. Follow and perform Safety and Soundness expectations when opening or closing the bank.
13. Attends all required bank training and adapts concepts and procedures.
14. Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and arms, talk and hear. Able to lift 25 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a part time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. & Saturday 6:30a.m. to 1:00p.m.

Required Education and Experience


1. 1 year of cash handling and customer service experience required
2. 1 year of bank teller experience preferred
3. High School education or equivalent
4. Ability to perform calculations
5. Proficient computer skills
6. Models positive and supportive behavior

9. Strong attention to detail
10. Ability to cross-sell products
11. Proven track record of success working in a team environment

Preferred Education and Experience


1 year of bank teller experience preferred
