Team Leader Job at MasterBrand Cabinets LLC
The Quality Team Leader will ensure that product manufactured complies with specifications Customer requirements and ensure that Procedures in place are being followed. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team-based environment, computer proficient, and have excellent communication skills. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting and testing assembled motor vehicles, components, and parts, as vehicles and subassemblies proceed through stages of assembly process, applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures: Reviews quality assurance instructions, assembly specifications, and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and tests, sequence of operations, and work assignments
Organizational Relationship
Position reports directly to the Shipping Quality Manager and supports our Woodcrafters division based in Weslaco, TX.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to Production-Quality Assurance.
- Supervise Quality Assurance staff in the following areas: Production & Process Controls
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
- Identifies and implements effective systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external quality and regulatory requirements.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Applies sound leadership in systematic problem-solving methodologies by identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving manufacturing product-related issues.
- Provides project direction, coaching, development and mentoring for Quality Assurance team personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
- Maintains the technical and managerial skills required to effectively administer the production process.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing and knowledge of lean tools and methods.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a difference.
- Solid math skills and measurements are essential.
- Ability to read a drawing.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-6 years supervisory experience preferred in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CNC computerized equipment.
- Experience in finishing/assembly of wood components.
- Knowledge of the cabinet industry.
