The YMCA of Northern Colorado in Boulder is hiring part time Swim Instructors. Swim Instructors are enthusiastic and portray a positive attitude. You'll need to relate positively to a variety of people including other staff and parents and kiddos. Instructors must be organized, and eager to teach. We provide the lesson plans. Group classes and private lesson openings are available.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Current ARC/YMCA First Aid, and CPR-PR Certifications. We can provide you with this class prior to assignment.
• Experience teaching swim lessons or previous competitive swimming experience is not necessary but preferred.
• Proficient swimming and safety/rescue skills
• Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful
• Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of being hired
• YMCA Swimming Lessons Instructor and Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred

Salary Range is $16.50-22.50/hour depending on experience and availability and we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. Opportunities include weekday mornings, weekday afternoons, multiple opportunities on Saturdays and/or Sundays. You do not need to be available for all shifts to apply. For instance, if you can only teach on Saturdays, we understand and can be flexible.
