GST Manufacturing, Construction Division, is seeking a Structural Steel Superintendent. The Superintendent is responsible for the accurate and timely erection of structural and miscellaneous steel projects on multiple concurrent sites.

Responsibilities

1. Report to project site(s) every day and provide daily onsite supervision

2. Ensure that each project is timely, safely and accurately completed

3. Ensure that all equipment and material is onsite timely

4. Coordinate and report to Project Manager

5. Manage Foremen and crews

6. Problem-solving

7. Attend and host jobsite meetings

8. Serve as liaison between company and contractor

9. Frequent travel/long hours required

Basic Qualifications

1. Five (5) years prior experience as a Structural Steel site superintendent or foreman

2. Proven work history on steel and structural steel projects

3. Excellent organization skills

4. Strong multi-tasking skills and must work well under pressure

5. Complete fluent in structural steel specifications and blueprints

6. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personsel

7. Ability to set jobsite expectations (hours worked, daily progress milestones and allocated hours for completion) for each site crew

8. Work weekends and overtime as required

9. Must be proficient at Excel, Word and Outlook

10. Must pass a background check and drug test

11. Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance for the employee with small employee contribution, 401K with company match, life insurance, disability insurance, paid holidays and paid time off are accrued in accordance with the vesting procedures set forth in the company handbook.
