Chattanooga Engineering Group, one of the largest civil engineering firms in southeast Tennessee, is hiring a Structural Engineer based in Tampa Florida
We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious and innovative candidate who’s able to provide design support, including drawings, calculations and modeling, for CEG’s Structural works in North Carolina.
Our team is devoted to strong communicative and interpersonal skills; we want a Structural engineer able to professionally, creatively and efficiently:
- Provide structural engineering review and design services for commercial and residential projects.
- Ensure that the construction project is designed with safety and efficiency as top priorities.
- Find the right solution whether in designing basement walls and sizing beams for a custom home, detailing structural and light gauge steel for a commercial project, or designing retaining walls for site development.
- Provide risk-analysis while consulting budgetary, regulatory and environmental factors and concerns.
- Prepare material, equipment and labor cost-estimates in financially responsible ways.
- Forecast and manage design and construction timelines.
- Effectively and proactively observe and complete the permitting process to appropriate agencies while ensuring compliancy with projects.
- Work remotely while representing CEG in Tampa Florida area.
REQUIREMENTS
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the State of Tennessee or Florida (or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.)
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, SkyCiv or similar programs.
- BS/MA in Civil Engineering.
