Staff Accountant Job at Centro de la Familia
Overview
Under the direction of the Finance Director and the Controller, this person is responsible to assist the controller with the general ledger. Supports all Centro personnel with budgeting and accounting processes. Make journal entries and produce account details. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products and familiarity with accounting software systems. Ensure procurement process functions properly. Trains other staff and assists them with accounting and finance needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Four (4) plus years of related work experience preferred. One year’s experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. Experience with Fund Accounting and accounting software in a Non-profit environment. Must be reliable and organized, able to work under pressure, and accurate in record keeping. Show great interpersonal skills to meet the public and work with staff.
Physical requirements include extended periods of time sitting or standing, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to perform other actions commonly associated with accounting. Occasional travel to various school centers may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
