Position Purpose:

The Sr. Associate, Go-to-Market (GtM) Strategy and Execution is a critical position within the Marketing & Strategy team, part of Stericycle’s Commercial organization. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated sales and marketing professional to help enable profitable revenue growth through the support of program development and execution.


This position will be allowed flexibility to work a hybrid/remote schedule based at home and in the office. May work from our Bannockburn, IL or downtown Chicago, IL office.


This role will work closely with Marketing and Sales leaders on critical business projects and implementation of strategic initiatives to meet our growth objectives. The individual will conduct current-state analysis, internal discovery sessions within and across the sales organization, and market size and share analysis, and other key activities to support the development, planning, and execution of customer acquisition strategies, driving three primary commercial outcomes:
  • Enhance organizational capabilities for new logo prospecting and customer acquisition
  • Improve sales productivity and efficiency to enhance revenue performance
  • Lower overall cost of customer acquisition across the business


The ideal candidate will have a sales and marketing background with a good understanding of go-to-market principles and a strong mind for sales process design, selling motions, improvements leveraging data, and business process mapping. This individual will work on challenging projects of strategic significance, and must draw upon experience, solid analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to be successful.


The Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution overall go-to-market strategies for Stericycle’s outbound prospecting and acquisition of new customers, leveraging inside sales teams, field sales teams, and third-party BPO partners.
  • Support strategic programs to optimize the go-to-market strategy, including market sizing and segmentation, prospect prioritization, sales org structure optimization, and sales motion design. Collaborate with Sales Operations to ensure appropriate territory design, target setting, sales incentive compensation, and training/enablement.
  • Coordinate with the Integrated Marketing team to develop and launch prospecting campaigns and new, modern, innovative approaches to target new customers within key audiences, specific geographies, and customer segments. Work closely across the Commercial org to understand market requirements, manage program expectations, and coordinate end-to-end activities across the selling cycle.
  • Collaborate with third-party BPO partners, with an eye on building best practices and utilizing third-party capabilities to their fullest extent, including capturing, documenting and scaling process efficiencies.
  • Execute on efforts that support the long-term vision for customer base growth and program expansion roadmaps, including leveraging best practices to launch demand generation platforms and building a world-class outbound channel to enable revenue growth.
  • Support Marketing, Sales, and Sales Operations on sales identifying performance improvements and pipeline development efficiencies to enhance funnel conversions including participation in Sales and Marketing performance review meetings/business rhythms.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Education/Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in a Marketing, Sales, or related discipline from a top-tier institution.
  • 4+ years’ progressive experience in Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales, or other relevant business experience, preferably in a B2B services environment.
