Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, CA is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will:
  • Apply Agile methodologies to the system/software development life cycle and participate in Agile Scrums to execute daily task assignments
  • Participate in the technical process of transforming requirements to be accomplished by computer software into one or more configured and documented computer products that fulfill the allocated requirements.
  • Apply rigid processes focused on maintaining system integrity while adjusting to new software and hardware development.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of C, C++, Python, XML, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Linux and VxWorks.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering and willing to learn about Safety/Flight Critical Processes.
  • Some familiarity with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), real-time embedded software development, and network protocols.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree and willing to learn about Safety/Flight Critical Processes.
  • Some familiarity with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), real-time embedded software development, and network protocols.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $66,500 - $125,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
