Job Summary

We are looking for a Set-Up Technician to assemble and disassemble our sheet metal fabricating machines. In this role, you provide job set-ups, technical support and perform preventative maintenance to help us produce parts of a high standard of quality. In addition to cleaning and inspecting components before changing them out, you troubleshoot machine issues during production and assist with parameter changes. This role requires some technical training, so applicants must have 1-2 years of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment. All applicants must be able to pass a drug test.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.

· Completion of a technical certificate program or on-the-job training.

· Experience with sheet metal fabrication a plus.

· Experience with hand and power tools.

· Forklift experience a plus.

· Technical skills.

· Problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail.

Experience: Must have a Minimum of 1-2 years working experience doing minor mechanical maintenance, installation, operation, modification, service and repairs.

Skills: Must be skilled in the proper use of hand, and power tools, diagnosing and trouble-shooting equipment malfunctions and system failures are required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to communicate with all departmental personnel.

Effort: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis; Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically powered tools Work is performed indoors and out-of-doors, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assemble and disassemble machine set up.

· Ensure optimal quality of the finished products at the designated machine.

· Troubleshoot process issues.

· Clean machine components.

· Ensure machine settings are properly kept.

· Inspect machine components for damage.

· Troubleshoot machine issues.

· Perform routine minor maintenance and adjustments to equipment as required.

· Perform preventative maintenance, in conjunction with maintenance team.

· Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

· Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION

The Set-Up Technician is supervised by the Production Supervisor, however, generally works with Maintenance Team, and independently under established guidelines and with minimum supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
