- Assists in the implementation of the quality assurance program.
- Coordinates the issuance of Request for Information/Nonconformance /Project Deviation Reports (RFI/NCR/PDN).
- Interprets drawings and specifications.
- Approves technical content of direct material requisitions.
- Provides document control and distribution of drawings, specifications and all other technical documents.
- Supervises all field engineering activities.
- Supervises assembly of all turn over documentation and packages.
- Resolves technical problems encountered during execution of the project.
- Provides liaison with home office engineering and procurement on drawings, specifications and all technical matters.
- Provides advice to client on technical matters.
- Supervises the technical preparation of all field-let subcontracts and participates in the award procedure, when assigned.
- Responsible for the administration of all subcontracts, when a Subcontracts Manager is not assigned.
- Schedules and supervises all supplier representatives on site.
- Interfaces with planning, scheduling, field estimating, progress reporting and cost control, when a Controls Manager is not assigned.
- Administers back charges.
- Trains and develops staff members under his authority.
- Participates and supports the financial analysis forecasting process.
- Participates in the project safety process.
- Facilitates project status/report out meetings.
- Participates in strategic project planning activities.
- Responsible for managing the system turnover process.
- Responsible for managing the monthly construction reporting process and the development of the construction final job report.
- Responsible for project bench marking activities.
- Responsible for collecting and communicating lessons learned.
- Requires proficiency to work effectively and efficiently with others using fundamental interpersonal skills conducive to teamwork.
- Technical field experience in industrial construction.
- Experience in a supervisory and/or management position.
- Experience in chemical, petrochemical and/or refineries.
- International experience preferred.
- Commitment to safety.
