Niyam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in support of our work with FEMA. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. This position is remote, but may require occasional onsite meetings in the Fairfax, VA area.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide TIER III support
• Responsible for developing new modules, debugging and maintaining Angular JS and Java Webservices based application
• Responsible for enhancements, debugging and maintaining JSP/Servlet, Java-EJB based legacy application
• Responsible for remediating Fortify and WebInspect security vulnerabilities
• Write complex queries
• Analyze user requirements, envision system features and functionality
• Create detailed design documentation
• Write well designed, testable code

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field (ie Computer Science) and 4 years of relevant experience in above technologies is required
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
• Angular JS, NodeJS, Java, Spring, Hibernate and Oracle SQL experience
