Workit Health is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team as a Lead React Native engineer. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable software solutions. As a member of our engineering team, you’ll be critical in delivering software that improves people’s lives safely and securely, delivering the most accessible mental health and overall wellness services.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for an experienced mobile developer to lead future development of our React Native application
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)
• Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean, modular code
• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
• Research and suggest new mobile products, applications, and protocols
• Refactor legacy features as needed
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Mobile developer
• Good understanding of react’s functional and class components and their lifecycle
• Familiarity with react-navigation and complex routing stacks
• Comfortable working with various yarn modules and discretion in selecting new ones (expo, react-navigation, sentry)
• Comfortable building and troubleshooting in Xcode and Android Studio
• Experience testing, releasing and deploying native applications in App Store and Play Store
• Comfortable switching between git branches, reviewing PR’s, resolving conflicts
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and token authentication principles
• Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
• Leadership qualities and discerning time management skills.
• 5+ years of professional Javascript experience
• 3+ years of professional React Native (or comparable mobile app development) experience

Benefits

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $120,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience.
