As the Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), you will be responsible for driving the advancement of the global DEI agenda at Watts. Reporting to the VP, Global Talent, DEI and Communications, this critical leadership role is charged with shaping influencing, managing and delivering on the company's mission and strategic pillars with a lens on internal and external trends and emerging opportunities in the diversity, equity and inclusion space. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader comfortable interacting and partnering with colleagues at all levels of the organization. This dynamic leader will serve as a subject matter expert in the DEI realm and be able to balance strategic thinking and drive execution in a successful manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Develop strategies to help drive the DEI agenda at Watts and translate strategies into tactical plans with clear actions, accountability, and goals to promote best in class equitable DEI practices at Watts ensuring a continued focus on workforce representation, workplace culture, and marketplace impact.
  • Partner with the Corporate Talent Acquisition/Management/Development teams to develop and implement programs to attract, develop and retain diverse talent.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and leaders on sourcing diverse candidates by: building/maintaining partnerships with universities and professional organizations and leveraging social media and community connections.
  • Partner with the Talent Development team to create and implement global inclusivity training opportunities to educate team members and managers on how to recognize, accommodate and appreciate individual differences.
  • Serve as a change agent to provide solutions, and resources on DEI related topics.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Management team to design and execute on the DEI survey strategy at Watts, analyze results, recommend actions and partner with sites to implement changes.
  • Build pro-active relationships with internal cross-functional subject matter experts to ensure alignment and focus on DEI in all business processes and practices.
  • Research and develop metrics for measuring the effectiveness of diversity initiatives implemented and conduct monthly presentations to senior management. Develop, improve and oversee DEI metrics and dashboards; track & analyze key metrics and partner with leaders to drive improvement.
  • Keep current on diversity programs, trends and issues and provide recommendations based on observations, research and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with and the accurate and timely completion of all Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity reporting
  • Develop and monitor the DEI budget; monitor the application of strategic investments in external partnerships relative to fostering inclusion, diversity, learning, and opportunity.
  • Build and grow relationships with national, local and specialized D&I organizations and professional development organizations, as is relevant to the fulfillment of the organization's strategic action plan and goals.
  • Act as an advisor for the Watts Employee Resource Groups (ERG). Ensure each has developed and executes on annual goals, strategies action plans and calendar of events. Share best practices with ERG leaders and facilitate the expansion and maturity of the ERGs.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related disciplines, or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years professional work experience in workplace DEI.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with organizations to propose innovative solutions and drive outcomes in the areas of representation, belonging and inclusion, and/or reaching a more diverse supplier/customer base.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in DEI topics, including but not limited to equity, belonging, anti-racism, global inclusion, cultural humility, structural inequality, and social justice.
  • Experience in building a strategic plan, facilitating deliverables, and working in a cross-functional manner.
  • Proven ability to manage difficult or complex topics or messages with objectivity and poise.
  • Demonstrated acumen in understanding key metrics relative to representation, progression, and demographic representation.
  • Skilled communicator with a deep sense of empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adjust to multiple demands, address shifting priorities, and champion change.
  • Experience building strong relationships within the organization and with external experts.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Well-versed in EEOC, Affirmative Action and compliance required.
  • Experience with government contractor regulatory agencies such as Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) a plus.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity and excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets, estimating, and forecasting.
  • Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and support teams.
  • 10% travel to meetings/events/sites
